DO YOU KNOWA LEADER?

As the lesbian & gay community pushes for recognition, acceptance and | | respect from the mainstream, we become increasingly more visible to ourselves as individuals with varied needs, views and cultures.

Thus, as the community demands inclusion, we also must embrace each | other for, not in spite of, our differences. To that end the Lesbian and Gay Community Service Center is seeking to expand its scope, starting from the top.

The Center Board has about five seats that need to be filled. We are calling on individuals and organizations to nominate people they believe will make good board members, both for the center and the comminity.

The Center is looking for people, gay and straight who have, but are not limited to the following characteristics:

▼Willing to be reasonably open about their board position in the community. ▼ Goal-oriented

▼Willing to fund-raise or learn how to do so

▼Able to commit at least four hours a week to Center business Able to represent gays as a whole as well as a particular constituency We need these nominations by September 21 Please use the form below to make nominations and return it to: Kim Taylor, Nominations Committee, The Center, 1418 W.29th St. Cleveland, 044113 Candidate's name, address and phone number
